DIY Mushroom Plush Pincushion

I adore little handmade woodland-inspired decorations and I’ve had so many requests for more plush tutorials! This newest project combines the two in an adorable felt mushroom that doubles as a pincushion if you like to sew. Watch this video tutorial to learn how to make your own!

Here are the materials you’ll need to make this project and links to where you can find them!
Colorful Cardstock (for the pins!)
White and purple felt
– A small piece of thin cardboard. I used some empty packaging.
Fabric Shears
Sewing needles
Sewing pins
Polyester Fiberfill
– A small piece of tape
– Pennies or other small items to use as weights.

Here’s a more detailed sewing tutorial for whipstitch in case you’re new to hand sewing and are interested in learning more about it or you just need a refresher.

I especially enjoyed making this tutorial because I adore craft projects that are inspired by nerdy things like video games and books.
