Armoured Bearcub

Lauren Fairweather and Matt Maggiacomo have been writing songs about Harry Potter for nearly four years. With Armoured Bearcub, they are venturing to write songs about… well, everything else. His Dark Materials, The Legend of Zelda, Hunger Games, Nerdfighting, Rhode Island… no subject will be left uncovered. Armoured Bearcub is as much a YouTube project as it is a studio recording project. Listeners can look forward to a series of dorky songs coupled with dorky music videos, each co-written and co-directed by Lauren and Matt. Although the band has no specific timetable for a release, an album should be available for purchase on iTunes in the near future.
We also have a few music videos on our YouTube channel! We’ll be working on more in the near future, so subscribe if you like them!

Your music sounds really nice.
It’s so cute that you make music together.

“Let’s get our master’s degree” is lovely.
Not only that, but it totally describes where me and my boyfriend are right now as well.
I’m definitely going to keep my ear out for more of your collabs with Matt!

If you make songs about Legend of Zelda, that will be majorly amazing because not enough exist that I can find. And I was about to suggest The Hunger Games until I re-read what was written.
Some seriously good choices and I can’t wait to hear more.

I saw you guys at the Hallows and Horcruxes Ball this year. (Congratulations on the engagement by the way.) I thought that you guys seemed like a pretty cute couple. Little did I realize at the time that you were at this obscenely high level of awesome. Can’t wait for the Hunger Games music and love what you’ve already got.

Hey Lauren! I bought the white album at your Verona show and was wondering is it safe to listen to the His Dark Materials song even though I haven’t read the book yet? I’ve listened to the rest of the album and its BRILLIANT! We’re on Fire is my favorite:) Keep up the awesome work! BEST WISHES!

You probably shouldn’t listen to that one.
